Les Audacieuses

It's Awards season at the moment, and between the Country Music Awards and the MTV Music Awards, a whole lot of rather unknown people such as Lady Gaga or Taylor Swift have collected statuettes here and there, from Nashville to Amsterdam. But the big ceremony, THE award you did not want to miss this week, was the Trophée des Audacieuses Award in Orleans, organized by the Edith magazine, to celebrate female entrepreneurs who kick ass in the Centre region.
 

MCed by Mr François Bonneau, president of the Centre region, and Mr Daniel Guillermin, president of the chamber of commerce, and orchestrated by Marie-Zelie Moser, chief editor of Edith mag, the ceremony took place on November 7th and was quite the social event of the season (even Barack and Michelle couldn't get a ticket). Teo Jasmin was of course a nominee through Angeline Bailly, the brand's creato

With ten other fabulous entrepreneurs, Angeline has proudly represented the region's amazons who make things happen, while taking care of the planet and its inhabitants, creating jobs, stimulating activity in the region, all in all swimming upstream through the economic crisis and proving that the term 'CEO' is actually of female gender.

After a pretty tight deliberation, Angeline and Teo Jasmin ascended the second step of the podium, behind Fabienne Ermel, owner of the Fournil bakery in Tours, and ahead of Valerie Leenhardt who created her company of homemade paints. Christine Santerre, a professional web designer won the internet vote for a well deserved fourth place.

A row of applause for Angeline and her female counterparts for their achievement. The world is always a better place when women are in charge, as they have once again proved yesterday.
